Local sling hire and support sessions.
A consult in my home in East Sheen (SW14 7HU) costs £25 for the first 30 minutes, then £10 for every additional 15 minutes. A consult in your home costs £85 for 90 minutes (up to 2 hours to allow time in case baby needs a break for a feed, a change or for comforting).Private Consultations
A private consultation is the best way of accessing truly personalised advice, teaching and recommendations. Perfect for anyone who;
is new to babywearing
is unsure of what might be the best option for them
is feeling overwhelmed by choice
has been gifted slings or carriers but are not confident using them
wishing to learn to back carry for the first time
looking to explore options for carrying twins or multiples
has additional needs or circumstances that may affect carrying (severe back pain, reduced mobility, or a child who has additional needs such as low muscle tone, low birth weight, reflux, hip dysplasia, talpedes etc).
Your session will be designed completely around you, meaning we will focus in on the options relevant to you and go at a pace that suits you and your baby's needs ensuring that you leave completely confident using whatever you choose going forward.
Cost is £10 per 15 minutes and you simply pay for the time you needed after your video consult. Online Consultatons
An online video consultation can be a great option for anyone who is;
unable to get to a local babywearing consultant or sling library
unsure on how to use their sling or carrier correctly
experiencing pain or discomfort when using their carrier
looking to learn about different baby carriers, wanting an overview of options and an opportunity to ask all their questions
It is worth noting that a video consult cannot substitute for actually trying a carrier on. Baby carriers fit a bit like jeans - different brands fit different people. So while I can discuss your needs and what brands are most likely to suit your family's requirements via video call, I can not tell you for certain whether it will give you a good fit without physically seeing it on you. If you are looking to purchase a new carrier or sling, I highly recommend in-person support (i.e by booking a private consultation or coming along to a Sling Clinic session) if at all possible. If it is not possible, a video consult can be useful to discuss options before arranging to hire via post, or to ensure your confident using a testing out a hired sling one it arrives. In general, however, video consults work much better for people who already have a sling or carrier that they would like help with. Or for expectant parents new to babywearing looking for an introduction to different carrier types and wishing to understand more about their pros and cons so they can be prepared for once baby arrives.

Our friendly, informal Sling Clinic sessions are perfect for anyone who;
Has some idea of what they would like to try
Would like to see, try on and compare a couple of different brands
Has a carrier already that they would like help with
Has specific questions they'd like to ask
Are happy learning in a busy small group format
These sessions run in a small group format with no more than 9 families present at a time. The sessions are 90 minutes long and we pack a lot into a short amount of time so please do try to come for the whole session if you can to ensure you get the most out of it! Families with similar needs will be grouped to maximise the time you have to try, explore and receive personalised help and advice. You are welcome to bring along carriers you already own and try anything in the library collection.
Cost is £20 for an individual (plus baby or bump!) or £30 for a couple/family (plus baby or bump!). Workshops
We can offer a wide range of workshops aimed at small groups covering a range of specific topics - at Madeleine's home, at a venue of your choice or online via Zoom video call.
These workshops last around 90 minutes and work best for groups comprising of between 3 and 6 families. Ideally friends with babies or bumps at a similar age and stage. If you already have a group this can be a great way of all exploring and learning more about slings and carriers together. In the workshop we will really focus in on the topic, allowing you plenty of time to try for yourself and come away really confident in which carrier or carriers will work for you and how to use them.
